Vintage coat-dress by Thierry Mugler Activ (late 80s, early 90s), crafted from warm virgin wool in a stunning, vivid shade of red. Perfectly in line with the Mugler aesthetic, it combines the sartorial rigor of a coat with the femininity of a dress. It can, in fact, be worn closed or open as a duster/trench coat.
Extraordinary architectural construction: Mugler’s iconic hourglass silhouette is shaped through a play of curved cuts and seams that wrap around the figure, accentuating the waist. The shoulders are padded; the large pockets, pleats, and trench-inspired capelet (both on the front and especially on the back) add movement and three-dimensionality. Front closure with hemispherical snap buttons, made of silver-tone metal and decorated with a geometric motif.
